October 2, 9, 16 & 23 For children 15 months–2½ years with a parent or caregiver. Ducks & Ducklings is a gentle and nourishing gathering for toddlers and their caregivers, rooted in the peaceful rhythms of Waldorf early childhood. Together, we spend time in the fresh air—tending to our hens, moving through simple seasonal songs, and sharing in the wonder of the world through the eyes of a child. This class offers more than just a morning routine—it is a space to slow down, to observe your child in their natural unfolding, and to connect with other parents in a warm and judgment-free community. After our time outdoors, we move into the calm and beauty of our Waldorf classroom, where toddlers are invited into purposeful play. Parents are welcomed into heartfelt conversation and shared reflection. Here, we explore the foundations of Waldorf education and discover new ways to care for our children—and ourselves—with simplicity, reverence, and joy. Led by a Waldorf certified teacher, Ducks & Ducklings is a soft landing place for those seeking rhythm, community, and meaningful connection during the early years of parenthood. |

Bitty Acorn Tea & Play — 5-Visit Punch Card Enjoy five visits to Bitty Acorn Tea & Play on the Tuesdays or Thursdays that work best for your family. Your visits do not need to be consecutive—simply choose any five available Tea & Play mornings. To help us keep our gathering small and comfortable for our littlest acorns, please register for each visit at least 24 hours in advance by emailing the teacher at [email protected] to let her know you plan to attend the following day. 5 Visits — $75 |
A Flexible Parent & Child Gathering for Birth to Age 2
Tuesdays & Thursdays | 9:00 AM–12:30 PM Beginning September 14 Bitty Acorns Tea & Play is a warm and relaxed gathering created especially for babies, young toddlers, and their grown-ups. Rooted in the gentle rhythms and philosophy of Waldorf early childhood education, Tea & Play gives little ones a beautiful space to play, explore, and begin connecting with other children while parents and caregivers enjoy conversation, community, and a chance to slow down together. Tea & Play is designed to be flexible for families with very young children. Arrive anytime between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM and stay for as long as works for you and your child—whether that’s a short visit, a few hours, or the whole morning. Our mornings are hosted by a certified Waldorf early childhood teacher with specialized Birth-to-Three training. Children are invited to explore our thoughtfully prepared, Waldorf-inspired environment at their own pace while their grown-ups remain nearby. For parents and caregivers, each gathering offers time for tea, conversation, questions, and connection. We will explore topics surrounding the first years of life, child development, parenting, rhythm in the home, and Waldorf early childhood education. Podcasts and other resources may also be shared for families who would like to explore our discussion topics more deeply at home. You don’t need any previous experience with Waldorf education to join us. Come as you are, bring your little one, pour a cup of tea, and stay awhile. Choose the Option That Works for You Single Visit — $20 Five-Visit Punch Card — $75 Purchase five visits in advance and enjoy Tea & Play for just $15 per visit. Because we want to maintain a peaceful, comfortable gathering that is appropriate for babies and very young children, space is limited and advance registration is required. After purchasing your visit, please email [email protected] at least 24 hours before the day you would like to attend to reserve your space. A parent or caregiver remains with the child throughout the gathering. Bitty Acorns Tea & Play is a parent-and-child program and is not drop-off child care. Coming Soon: Bitty Acorns Infant & Toddler Classroom Something else is growing at Acorn! We are in the final stages of state licensing for our new Bitty Acorns Infant & Toddler Classroom, a Waldorf-inspired drop-off program for children birth to age 2. Bitty Acorns will be intentionally very small, with enrollment limited to just four children each day. This allows us to create the gentle, home-like environment, close relationships, individual attention, and unhurried rhythm that are so important during the first years of life. We will be happy to keep interested families informed as we complete the final licensing process and prepare to welcome our littlest Acorns.
